The Outland Denim Group consists of two highly respected denim brands, Outland Denim & Nobody Denim, as well as our own manufacturing facility in Cambodia. The Outland Denim Group is now looking for a new member to join their finance team.

We're excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dynamic individual to enhance our Finance team as an Assistant Accountant. In this role, you'll be instrumental in realising our vision by supporting our finance operations with precision and dedication. Your contributions will be key in driving performance and growth.

This role will give you an opportunity to engage in a wide spectrum of financial activities within our multi-entity group. Your responsibilities will include managing our day-to-day accounting requirements as well as being an integral part of our month-end processes. Beyond these core tasks, you'll play a key role in nurturing external relationships and supporting our CFO with budgeting and forecasting requirements. Unique to this position is the opportunity to work alongside our finance team in Cambodia, offering a rich learning experience in international finance functions. As a small but growing business, you will have the unique opportunity to report to and work closely with our CFO, while learning many aspects of the in-house finance function as you develop your skills.

KEY DETAILS

· Part-time to full-time role available

· Flexible working-from-home arrangements available for the right candidate

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or in a related field.

At least three years of experience in finance and accounting roles.

Professional accounting qualifications like CA or CPA is preferred.

Thorough understanding of accounting principles and procedures. Experience using cloud-based accounting software, with a preference for those experienced in using Xero Accounting.

Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Excel and a strong capability in using other computer applications.

Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and critical thinking.

Highly organised with a strong attention to detail.

Ability to work efficiently both independently and as well as working in a team.

Competent in managing personal workflow and able to work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines.

Creative mindset with an aptitude for identifying and resolving issues innovatively.

A passion for sustainability and using financial insights to drive business impact.
