About Voconiq
Voconiq is a mission-based, data-driven startup providing a voice to communities in the companies, industries and institutions that influence their lives. The organisations we work with want to have meaningful relationships with the communities they operate around – not just listening, but actively engaging and working with these communities to create mutually beneficial outcomes. Voconiq has developed a sophisticated data analytic engine that enables this by translating community survey data into customer (and community) insights. We are creating positive change through science and bring the ‘Social’ to the measurement of ESG performance.
We are currently working in 11 countries on five continents, providing a range of challenging and engaging contexts to navigate in delivering our services. At times, these are contested spaces where our data helps to find constructive ways for companies and communities to move forward – other times, we work with industries to help create their first set of sustainability goals. In all our work, what we do matters and has impact.
Our customers are diverse, including large renewable energy companies, mining companies, local government bodies, and agricultural industries. What they have in common is a desire to bring community voices into their decision making.
What drives us each day is knowing we’re helping communities translate their experiences, concerns and aspirations into a language our customers can understand and then use to maximise their positive impact. And we’re growing fast, with big plans for the next few years. Just like the communities we serve, we’re a diverse team and on the hunt for people with fresh insight, new ways of working— and the same passion we have—to make an impact on a local and global scale.
About the Role
We are seeking a Project Support Officer with experience and/or interest in social science and community engagement to join our Voconiq Service Delivery team for a 12-month full-time contract period with potential for a permanent role. This is a medical leave contract, but we are experiencing high growth, so permanent work is likely in the project space.
This role has dual responsibilities: you will support the administration of the Rewards program under the direction of our Service Delivery Team Lead, and provide broader project support, including reporting, under the direction of respective Project Managers.
In administering the Rewards program, you will manage communications with registered community groups, process new registrations, generate token balance statements at the end of each survey series, and ensure payments are processed accurately and on time. Maintaining up-to-date databases and responding to program-related inquiries will be key tasks.
Alongside this, you will contribute to all stages of project delivery, from planning and implementation to reporting. You will assist with interpreting survey results and drafting reports that translate research findings into meaningful insights for our customers and communities.
This role will require strong organizational skills and an ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently. You’ll also need excellent communication skills to engage community groups and create materials that highlight the impact of the Rewards program, as well as to support project managers in delivering on other aspects of our community engagement initiatives.
Key Duties/Responsibilities
You will work across a range of projects and support the team to:
Administer the Rewards program under the direction of the Project Team Lead, liaising with registered groups, processing payments, generating statements, and maintaining accurate databases.
Register new groups into the Rewards program and monitor/respond to inquiries from participants and community groups.
Create communication materials, including case studies, to promote the work of reward groups and the impact of the program.
Provide project support under the direction of Project Managers, including coordinating all stages of projects from planning to reporting.
Assist in interpreting survey results and drafting reports and presentations to communicate findings in an accessible manner to customers and community participants.
Support the development of communication content for various platforms, including websites and social media.
Ensure project milestones and deliverables are met on time, contributing to the smooth delivery of end-to-end projects.
What You Need
Relevant qualification(s) and/or previous experience in Social Science, Market Research, Communication, Administration or related fields.
Experience in coordinating multiple projects with competing demands.
Strong administrative skills and experience with tools such as MS Office, WordPress, and communication platforms like Hootsuite.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Ability to work independently on tasks under the direction of both the Service Delivery Director and Project Managers.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple tasks across different projects.
