Salary Starting from $71,796
About the role
The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is looking for a Finance Officer who will play a vital role in maintaining and managing the City's financial records. You will be responsible for ensure the efficient and timely processing of accounts payable, and deliver a quality customer service experience to suppliers and internal stakeholders while always adhering to strict confidentiality.
The role will include working within our Accounts Payable team to ensure that the City's suppliers are paid on time within payment terms. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to your local community while working in a supportive and professional environment.
Duties
Key responsibilities include:
Ensure fortnight, month and year end processes are carried out in accordance with departmental deadlines.
- Accurately process invoices for creditor payment run in accordance with the City's Purchasing Policy and any other relevant legislation.
- Complete Creditor reconciliations on a monthly/quarterly basis, as directed by Financial Accountant.
- Process payments in a timely manner and to deadline.
- Manage Creditor Mailbox, ensuring that all invoices are tracked and actioned appropriately as per procedure.
- Maintain relevant creditor files and supporting documentation.
- Adhere to all City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder policies and procedures and ensure personal safety at work and that of others.

Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to confidentiality.
- Current satisfactory National Police Clearance.
