Position

The Sydney office is growing and there is the need for a Business Development Manager to join the team. This is a solution sales role, and your responsibilities involve meeting with prospective customers, understanding their transport needs and requirements and constructing the most cost effective and efficient interstate logistics service.

The role involves building market share and promoting to new customers, but also managing these clients moving forward and therefore your relationship management along with your proposition/proposal delivery skills will be essential.

This is an on the road face to face sales role whereby autonomy is provided.

On offer is a salary of $90K + $15k car allowance + comms with an OTE of $200k

Best of all, full industry training is provided, so no prior experience selling transport is required.

Candidate

You do not need to have any sales experience from within the transport and logistics industry. If you do it will be seen as a bonus, but it is certainly not essential.

Essentially you must have a proven track record of successful business to business sales experience where you have managed the full sales process from start to finish, including lead generation, gaining an appointment, pitching, presenting, and ultimately closing.
