As the organisation experiences strong growth, the Philanthropy & Partnerships team is expanding and looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to help shape and secure the next chapter of strategic funding partnerships.

About The Role

This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing team committed to unlocking transformational funding to improve health outcomes across Australia. Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships, the Business Development Manager will lead the identification, cultivation, and conversion of major donors, corporate partners, trusts, foundations, and other strategic allies to drive sustainable revenue growth and amplify impact in the primary health care space.

Key responsibilities will include:

Driving income growth through strategic philanthropic and corporate partnerships

Identifying, targeting, and securing high-value funding opportunities

Building long-term, values-aligned relationships with donors, partners, and key stakeholders

Translating complex health initiatives into compelling, outcomes-focused cases for support

Developing and implementing innovative partnership strategies aligned with organisational goals

Engaging, influencing, and fostering trust with senior external stakeholders

Monitoring and analysing trends across the philanthropic and funding landscape to inform strategic decision-making

About You

As the successful candidate for this role, you will be a passionate and driven relationship-builder with a strong track record in business development, fundraising, or strategic partnerships—ideally within the health, not-for-profit, or broader social impact sectors. You combine a strategic mindset with hands-on execution, thrive in a mission-led environment, and are energised by the opportunity to create meaningful change.

Additionally, you will bring:

Demonstrated success in securing significant philanthropic or corporate funding

Strong relationship management, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills

A deep understanding of donor motivations and effective partnership development

Experience crafting compelling, evidence-based funding proposals that deliver social impact

Commercial acumen and the ability to align external partner goals with organisational priorities

Outstanding communication and storytelling capabilities, both written and verbal

Ideally, knowledge of or interest in primary health care, public health, or health equity

Salary & Benefits

$80,000 to $100,000 + Super + Car Allowance + NFP Salary Packaging
