About the Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s commercial future. Your focus will be on identifying new opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and deepening relationships with builders, developers, strata managers, facilities teams, and key decision-makers in both public and private sectors.
You’ll be expected to engage at both operational and strategic levels, building rapport on-site with project managers while navigating longer-term procurement pathways with commercial heads and senior stakeholders. The role demands both agility and insight: the ability to qualify leads effectively, manage technical conversations with confidence, and translate complex client needs into clear, deliverable scopes that align with internal capacity and operational strengths.
You’ll work closely with estimating, project management, and executive leadership to ensure proposals are not only competitive but commercially sound. Your KPIs will be growth-focused, but this is not a transactional sales environment. Success will come from relationships built on credibility, consistency, and a genuine understanding of what good delivery looks like on-site.
About You
You’re a strategic operator with strong technical grounding and natural commercial instincts. Whether your background is in sales, project delivery, or estimating, you understand how jobs are won and what’s needed to ensure they’re delivered profitably. Ideally, you’ve spent time in or around the built environment: plumbing, electrical, mechanical, facilities, construction, or a related field. You’re comfortable on-site, confident in a room full of decision-makers, and you know how to speak the language of builders, contractors, and developers.
You don’t chase volume for its own sake, you pursue the right work, with the right partners, and the right margins. You think ahead, write clearly, and follow through. You’re not afraid to prospect, but you understand that long-term value comes from trust, timing, and delivering what you promise. Salary & Benefits
$90,000 to $110,000 Base + Super + Car + Comms
