About the role

CBD Executive Apartments' is seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our award-winning restaurant team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This is a full-time role based in Rockhampton, QLD.

What you'll be doing

Overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management

Developing and implementing innovative and mouth-watering menus that showcase the best of local and seasonal produce

Ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service

Managing and training a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff

Maintaining strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations

Collaborating with the restaurant management team to enhance the overall guest experience

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a senior culinary role within a high-quality restaurant or hotel environment

Proven track record of leading and developing a successful kitchen team

Exceptional culinary skills and a strong understanding of flavour profiles and food trends

Ability to work collaboratively with the restaurant management team to deliver exceptional dining experiences

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene
