About the role

Do you have a passion for creating exceptional cuisine? We're looking for experienced chefs to join our dynamic team at our Japanese inspired restaurant in Burleigh Heads, Queensland. We are have a few roles available as well as positions at our group of Mexican Restaurants. As an Executive Head Chef, Sous-chef Pantry, or Chef de Partie, you'll play a vital role in delivering an outstanding dining experience for our customers. We are offering full-time, Part time and casual positions, offering competitive remuneration and the opportunity to work in a vibrant and collaborative environment.

What you'll be doing

Overseeing the overall kitchen operations and leading a team of talented chefs

Developing innovative and delicious menu items that showcase your culinary expertise

Ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation and customer satisfaction

Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene protocols

Collaborating with the management team to optimise kitchen efficiency and drive business growth

Mentoring and training junior chefs to develop their skills and expertise

What we're looking for

Extensive experience as an Executive Head Chef, Sous-chef Pantry, or Chef de Partie in a similar high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment

Exceptional culinary skills and a deep understanding of various cooking techniques and flavour profiles

Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of motivating and developing a talented kitchen crew

Excellent time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to thrive under pressure

Passion for using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and creating innovative, visually appealing dishes

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with the front-of-house team

Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
