The Company

We are a small, family-owned business seeking a dedicated professional to assist with payroll and accounts payable/receivable. This role offers plenty of autonomy and hands on training to ensure your success. The Role

Weekly & Fortnightly Payroll Completion, including payroll journalling

Leadership and management of a small team

Processing of superannuation, payroll tax etc. in line with statutory requirements

Raising of invoices in a timely manner in line with Client agreements

Key interface with external accounting team

Assistance with commercial terms and quoting for job tenders from time to time

Payment of supplier invoices each week and maintaining precise records to reflect

Ensure prompt and efficient handling of employee payroll enquiries from our site-based workforce

Raising of client invoices against PO requirements

Ensure customer profiles in Xero are fully completed and up to date

EBA and award interpretation to ensure payroll accuracy

Responsible for vehicle claims, insurance renewals and servicing requirements of fleet

Your Background and Skills

In order to be successful in this role, you will have the following:

Experience with payroll processing

Knowledge of modern award interpretation and EBA interpretation

Experience managing team members

Payroll platform experience

Excellent time management experience

High attention to detail and organizational ability

Quality communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels

Ability to be a solid team player

Commercial knowledge and acumen

Friendly disposition with a positive attitude

Experience across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
