We are seeking a Part Time Administration Officer that will be responsible for Accounts Payable and Payroll. This role will be 27.5hrs per week - Monday-Friday - 8:30am–2:30pm
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Payable Duties including but not limited to:
Receiving, verifying, and processing invoices
Scheduling and preparing payments to vendors, including maintaining the cashflow
Reconciling invoices with purchase orders and contracts, including bank and credit card reconciliations
Preparing monthly company financial reports including ATO reporting as required
Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders/inventory, invoices, and statements.
Addressing and resolving financial queries from clients, suppliers, and staff.
Maintaining accounts files and ensuring documentation control is followed.
Payroll Duties including but not limited to the below:
Processing payroll on a weekly basis
Processing tax deductions, superannuation, and other deductions associated with payroll
Assisting with onboarding and offboarding
Maintaining accurate payroll records for employees.
Responding to Payroll Enquiries
Managing superannuation payments and reconciling staff and superannuation accounts
Assisting with monthly and year end payroll financial reporting
Administration Duties including but not limited to:
Responding to phone calls and emails from employees, clients and visitors, providing information and directing enquiries
Managing emails, letters, and packages, ensuring timely and accurate communication
Updating and organizing databases, filing documents and ensuring the integrity of company records
Assisting with ordering, tracking, and maintaining inventory of office supplies
Support the management team as needed and required
IDEAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Relevant experience in an accounts payable, payroll, general administrative role
Strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office, accounting and payroll systems such as Xero and Tanda, with the ability to learn new software applications
Demonstrate high attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate financial records in all output
Strong communication, organisational and time management skills
Proven ability to work independently and as an effective team member
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in similar roles with previous experience using Xero
Knowledge of EBA (Union Agreements), Tertiary/TAFE qualification in related field and experience within the engineering or construction industry would be highly regarded
