About Us:

The role:

The ICT System Administrator/Project Officer will ensure Council’s Information and Communication Technology Infrastructure and Business Systems are accessible, secure, and perform as required to support organisational requirements.

This role oversees the execution of various ICT projects within Council, including joint projects with other Councils.

Key responsibilities:

Maintain Council’s Information Technology asset inventory system, including software and licence compliance.

Provide technical and cyber security advice to the ICT team and to the Leadership team as required.

Participate in and lead when required ICT related projects in accordance with Council’s Project Management Framework.

Ensure backups of corporate data are performing effectively and tested regularly to ensure ICT Business Continuity is maintained.

Our ideal candidate will have:

Analytical and investigative skills to enable the formulation of policy options from within a broad organisation-wide framework.

Proficiency in server and desktop hardware and software technologies.

Knowledge of all major web-based systems and applications.

Experience with translating an ICT framework to implementation and maintenance plans.
