3-month Project Administration Officer opportunity to work for a large Council in the Northern CBD suburbs | $44-$48 per hour

  • Previous Project Administration Officer experience essential ideally within Local Government or Council | Experience in the use of procurement systems, Oracle and will be highly regarded
  • Represent a Local Government authority providing excellent service to members of the community
  • Own transport required| 3-month temporary opportunity

Seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Project Administration Officer to join a dynamic IT Project Services team within a Local Government on a 3-month basis. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive administrative support to the IT Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day administrative tasks, preparing report, and facilitating communication between internal teams and external stakeholders. Experience in the use of procurement systems, Oracle and will be highly regarded.

You will be responsible for:

Administrative Support:

  • Assist in preparing documentation throughout all project phases
  • Support procurement processes, including raising purchase orders and monitoring workflows
  • Track budgets, expenditures and assist with project reporting
  • Provide administrative and coordination support to project managers
  • Organise meetings, venues, and equipment for project activities
  • Maintain accurate records and document project processes
  • Build strong working relationships across internal teams and external partners

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for external stakeholders, arranging meetings and providing updates on project progress.
  • Offer basic information and support regarding commercial initiatives.
  • Assist in liaising with potential tenants and other stakeholders.

To be successful you will have:

  • Experience in a local government environment is preferred.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role. Proven ability to manage reports, databases, and produce presentations for diverse audiences.
  • Proven experience in IT project administration or a similar role
  • Familiarity with procurement systems and processes
  • Excellent organisational, documentation, and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in written and verbal communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • Competent in Oracle and Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Knowledge of Council software.
  • Experience in inputting and maintaining accurate information in Council databases in a timely manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
