The Corporate Services branch plays a crucial role in enabling VGSO's overall success by providing essential support and strategic guidance to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Balancing an appreciation of the complexities and nuances of the public sector, along with the requirements of operating in a competitive legal services environment, the branch delivers proactive, effective and efficient services to VGSO's internal and external clients.

About the role
As a Senior Network and Systems Administrator, you'll be the driving force behind the design, implementation, and evolution of VGSO's systems and network infrastructure. This is a high-impact role where you'll champion modern, resilient, and security-first solutions that align with the organisation's strategic goals. You'll lead the charge in resolving complex technical challenges, ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our ICT environment. Beyond operations, you'll foster a culture of innovation—exploring emerging technologies and pioneering smarter processes that fuel digital transformation across VGSO.
Key responsibilities
- Tier 3 Tech Specialist - Deliver expert-level support across core systems and serve as the go-to escalation point for Level 1 and 2 support, ensuring swift and effective resolution of complex issues.
- Infrastructure Visionary - Lead the design and execution of cutting-edge ICT infrastructure projects that drive VGSO's digital evolution.
- Systems Guardian - Maintain and enhance VGSO's critical ICT platforms, including Microsoft 365, Windows Server, VMware, SCCM/Intune, and SCOM, ensuring seamless performance and reliability.
- Network Strategist - Oversee VGSO's network infrastructure—switches, routers, firewalls—and manage third-party providers to deliver secure, high-performance connectivity.
- Resilience Architect - Own the backup and disaster recovery strategy, ensuring VGSO's systems are protected, recoverable, and resilient against disruption.
- Team Builder & Mentor - Elevate the ICT team by sharing knowledge, offering constructive feedback, and creating meaningful coaching and development opportunities.
