Casual position, 3 days/wk, 17-19 Hrs/wk

We are 2 specialists sharing rooms:

Dr Xen Xenophou, Gynaecologist and Dr Sally Ball, Dermatologist.

We are looking for a dual-role Medical Receptionist / Clinical Assistant to join us in our specialist practice in North Adelaide.

Our practice prides itself on professional, thorough and personalised service, focused on patient care.

Reliability, honesty, excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality are vital.

The successful applicant must be able to work well within a small team.

It is a dual-role position, 3 days per week:

Monday: 8:00 - 12:00 or 8:30 - 12:30

Tuesday: 7:15 - 4:00 / 4:30

Wednesday: 8:00 - 1:00 / 2:00

You will need to be available for all of the above days/hours and to provide leave cover for the other receptionist

Remuneration is based on the Health Professionals and Support Services Award [MA000027], Level 3, casual rate.

On-site parking is available on Mondays and Wednesdays.

RECEPTION DUTIES INCLUDE:

Welcoming patients, answering phones, making appointments in Genie software

Medical audio typing, receiving and sending correspondence

Scanning documents

Informing doctors of patient medical queries

Invoicing and receipting, using an EFTPOS machine

Maintenance of office supplies

CLINICAL ASSISTANT DUTIES INCLUDE:

Assisting Dr Xenophou with:

Preparing and maintaining consultation and examination rooms

Taking patients into examination room

Assisting Dr Xenophou with procedures:

Colposcopy, Biopsies, Insertion of Mirena/Implanon & hormone implants

Cleaning instruments and preparing them for sterilisation

Handling and documenting pathology specimens

Ordering consumable items

FURTHER DETAILS:

We are at 53 Walter St, North Adelaide.

We are looking for a motivated person who is genuinely interested in the health and well-being of others.

Prior experience working in medical rooms is not essential.

The position is available now and thorough training will be provided.
