Key Responsibilities
· Assist in developing menus and calculating ingredient quantities and food costs.
· Prepare and cook meals in line with recipes and service standards.
· Monitor food quality, presentation, and kitchen hygiene.
· Train and supervise Cooks and Kitchenhands in food preparation and safety practices.
· Maintain stock levels and manage daily food and supply orders.
· Collaborate with management to innovate new menu items and refine existing recipes.
· Coordinate service flow with front-of-house staff to optimize guest satisfaction and kitchen efficiency.
· Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards, health regulations, and workplace safety protocols.
Requirements
· Certificate IV or Diploma in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
· Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
· Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations.
· Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
· Passion for food, creativity, and team collaboration.
