About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at the WINDSOR HOTEL' in South Perth, WA. As our Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of our bustling kitchen. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise and passion for exceptional food.

What you'll be doing

Assisting the Head Chef in managing the kitchen brigade and ensuring smooth daily operations

Participating in menu development and recipe creation to deliver innovative, high-quality dishes

Overseeing food preparation, quality control, and presentation standards

Managing the flow of ingredients and maintaining proper stock levels

Training, developing, and supervising the kitchen team to uphold our high standards

Ensuring compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations

Collaborating with the front-of-house team to ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests

What we're looking for

Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a high-volume, fast-paced hospitality environment

Strong working knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu development, and cost control

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team

Proven track record of maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene

Creativity and a passion for innovative cuisine

Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
