About the role

Join the passionate team at OliverBrown' as Head Chef. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and delivering an exceptional dining experience for our customers in our restaurant located in Redlynch, QLD.

What you'll be doing

• Oversee all daily kitchen operations and ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation
• Develop and refine the menu, with a focus on seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients
• Manage and mentor the kitchen team, providing training and support to help them grow
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety and food hygiene regulations
• Collaborate with the front-of-house team to provide a seamless customer experience
• Monitor food and labour costs and implement strategies to maximise profitability
• Source new suppliers and negotiate favourable purchasing agreements

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a similar high-volume restaurant environment
• Demonstrated expertise in creating innovative menus and delivering consistent, high-quality dishes
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills to handle the fast-paced nature of the role
• Up-to-date knowledge of food trends, dietary requirements and health and safety regulations
• Passion for using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and a commitment to sustainable practices
