A Commonwealth government training facility located on the Bellarine Peninsula, Victoria is offering an exciting opportunity for people with relevant experience, located in this local region, to have the opportunity to work in the APS without travelling into Melbourne office locations. The training facility supports training for multiple commonwealth departments and the roles they are looking to recruit Booking and Events Coordinators (APS3-APS5).
The role:
The Booking and Event Coordinators support the coordination of all elements of the conferences and training; from accommodation, catering, events and logistics activities. They manage the workflow of the events and business, with a focus on the service delivery elements, such as housekeeping and front of house catering teams. This will include responding to queries from customers, access to the training facility, collaboration with technical and hospitality teams and managing detailed customer records of requirements.
The Person:
For success in these roles you must have a demonstrated background in a customer service delivery sector and the ability to ensure the delivery of exceptional services to customers during an event or conference. This includes:
- Demonstrated customer service expertise
- Ability to coordinate large events, prioritising and supporting administration for these events or projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop and foster strong professional relationships
- Working knowledge of event management and accommodation booking software
To be eligible to be considered for these roles you must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Salary range is $93,591 - $108,998 plus super (15.4%).
