Panama Dining Room has become one of Melbourne's premier restaurant and event spaces, with a large focus on weddings, in addition to many high-end corporate events.

We are seeking a professional and highly organised 'weddings & events coordinator' to commence work full-time. We require someone with previous experience in this field to help drive our business forward. Our current weddings & events coordinator will be on hand for a handover period, to ensure a smooth transition into the new role for the successful candidate.

About the role:

• Running events from start to finish and ensuring fantastic service is given to our clients
• Hosting menu tastings and logistics meetings with couples and clients, and using this opportunity to upsell our packages
• Being the primary point of contact for wedding couples and clients from the moment they book to the end of their wedding/function
• Being meticulous with your event planning and ensuring you are prompt with all reply emails
• Meeting and greeting your guests and clients, and exceeding their expectations
• Being across any dietary requirements or special requests as required
• Ensuring the processes and protocols set by the venue are being followed by our clients, and deadlines are being met
• Working closely with all managers to ensure that events run smoothly on the night

About you:

• You are well versed in booking, planning and holding weddings and events, going above and beyond to deliver a memorable experience
• You love holding weddings & events, and you have a passion for planning, creating and delivering memorable experiences
• You will have exceptional influencing and communication skills, with the ability to develop a wonderful rapport with our clientele
• You are able to plan, execute and deliver our clients requests to the very best of your ability
• You have meticulous attention to written detail and planning, and be someone who can think outside the box to overcome operational challenges
• You are happy to work alongside a fantastic team, and provide some of the best service in Melbourne
• You are in possession of a valid VIC RSA
