About the Company
Our client is a successful, family-owned business that has grown significantly and is now looking to formalise its HR function. With a focus on building a strong, engaged workforce, they are seeking an HR Manager who is hands-on, solutions-focused, and able to navigate change with confidence.
About the Role
As the company’s dedicated HR Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to establish and lead the HR function. This inew roles requires someone who is proactive, adaptable, and comfortable making decisions. You will be instrumental in driving cultural change, implementing key policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance while maintaining the company’s people-first approach.
Office based role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead change management initiatives and support the business through a period of transition, creating a new culture in line with the company vision.
- Build relationships with employees at all levels and become a trusted advisor.
- Implement essential HR policies, processes, and employment contracts from the ground up.
- Navigate performance management, restructures and changes with empathy and professionalism.
- Drive learning & development initiatives to upskill, engage, and retain staff.
- Support managers with employee relations and ensure best practices are followed.
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience.
- Enhance company culture, drive positive change, and implement strategies to improve retention.
Applicant Requirements:
- A proven track record in HR - across all facets and experience implimenting and shaping a HR Department
- A confident, self-sufficient HR professional who can work autonomously and get things done.
- Strong experience in HR, with a track record of successfully leading change in growing businesses.
- Excellent communication skills – able to engage stakeholders, have difficult conversations, and gain buy-in.
- A resilient and pragmatic problem-solver who can think on their feet.
- Experience in blue-collar or service-based industries is highly regarded but not essential.
- Someone who enjoys a dynamic, hands-on role rather than a rigid corporate environment.
