Maitland Road Surgery, Cessnock is seeking a highly motivated Casual Part-time reception Staff member to join our Team (Casual Position). Maitland Road Surgery is a reputable General Practice with 1 Full time GP, 3 part time GP's and 3 Registered Nurses dedicated to providing exceptional care to our Patients. This is a casual position, 8-16 hours per week, (potential to increase Hours in the future). We are seeking a Professional, enthusiastic Person with a ‘can do’ attitude. Key Responsibilities:

Greet patients with a warm and welcoming demeanour.

Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling and follow up reminders.

Answer and direct phone calls and messages.

Accurately type medical correspondence, reports and other documents as required.

Invoicing + Medical & DVA online claiming

Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.

Process patient billing efficiently.

All administrative tasks, including filling, faxing and emailing.

Coordinate with all staff to ensure smooth operations within the practice

Essential requirements:

Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist, preferable in a General Practice.

Experience using Best Practice Software.

Excellent communication skills and a professional manner.

Patience and empathy in dealing with Patients.

Reliability and ability to work independently and learn new skills.

Willingness to work well within a Team and alone at times

Sound organisational and administrative skills

Be able to multitask

High level of attention to detail

Demonstration of Professional and ethical behaviour at all times
