About Us

Paediatrics North is a boutique, friendly, and busy medical practice consisting of 12 specialists in general paediatrics, paediatric neurology, paediatric cardiology, sleep disorders, respiratory issues, neurosurgery, and clinical/metabolic genetics. We aim to provide excellence in health care and outstanding customer service.

We are seeking:

1 x casual medical receptionist (2 to 3 days per week, plus sick/annual leave cover) for an immediate start;

1 x casual medical receptionist (4 days per week) to cover maternity leave from 25/08/2025 for approximately 18 months.

Key Duties

Communicating with patients and their families by phone and email, and face-to-face

Managing patient bookings

Maintaining patient files in practice management software (Gentu)

Sending correspondence via email and fax

Raising invoices, processing payments, and submitting claims to Medicare

Prerequisites

5+ years as a medical receptionist

Attention to detail

Ability to multi-task

Highly-organised

Computer-literate

Experience with Gentu or similar practice management software

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Well-presented

Friendly and compassionate

Working Hours

The practice is open between 08:30 and 17:00 Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). However, we expect the successful candidates to work approximately 9 hours per day (08:15 to 17:45 with a half hour (unpaid) lunch break).

Remuneration

The successful candidates will be paid between $35 and $37 an hour + superannuation. As these are casual positions, no remuneration will be given for annual and sick leave.
