About the role

We are seeking a medical receptionist to join our team with clinics located at both John Flynn Private Hospital and Ballina, NSW. As a medical receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and will provide ongoing administrative support to clinical staff.

Role requirements

Applicants must have prior experience in medical reception role

Greeting patients and visitors

Scheduling appointments and managing patient bookings

Handling patient enquiries

Processing patient billings

Liaising with various clinical staff when scheduling procedures

Maintaining accurate patient records and updating medical databases

Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, typing, and photocopying

Providing general support to the medical team as required

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a medical or healthcare administrative role is ideal

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Strong organisational and time management abilities

Proficiency in using medical software and computer systems

Ability to work well in a team and under pressure

Passion for providing high-quality patient care

Understanding of healthcare billing protocols would be ideal

Previous experience with Xestro patient management software would be highly regarded
