About the role

This is a casual medical receptionist position at ER Medical & Surgical Services' practice in Coffs Harbour, NSW. You will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient service and support to the clinical team. With a flexible work type, this is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous medical office experience to join a dynamic and caring healthcare environment.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and welcoming patients as they arrive at the practice

Efficiently managing patient appointments, including booking, rescheduling and confirming appointments

Handling patient enquiries and providing friendly and professional customer service

Assisting with medical records administration and documentation

Coordinating the flow of patients through the practice

Maintaining a clean and organised reception area

Providing general administrative support to the clinical team as required

What we're looking for

Previous experience working as a medical receptionist

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, clinicians and other staff

Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail

Competent in using medical practice management software and standard office software

A caring, empathetic and patient-focused approach

Flexibility to work a casual schedule as required (this position could potentially offer a more permanent position)
