Skypark Cairns is a highly recognisable and respected international brand at the forefront of adventure tourism and is looking for a high energy, bubbly personality, Part-Time Receptionist to join our Reservations & Customer Service team.

Position Purpose

Reception is a key function in frontline and the operations at Skypark Cairns. The frontline reception team is a vital part of the daily operation and running of the site being the first and final point of contact for guests coming to visit Skypark Cairns. We pride ourselves on our unique culture and are responsible for changing lives everyday – whether guests are doing their first ever Bungy Jump, Giant Swing, or conquering their fears on Walk the Plank – we want these experiences to be memorable and for guests to remember the way they felt when visiting Skypark Cairns.

The successful candidate must demonstrate;

Background in reservations or reception duties essential (Tourism preferred)

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to offer world class customer service!

A fun and energetic personality being the first and last contact guests will encounter when visiting Skypark Cairns, including continually promoting Skypark Cairns through exceptional guest service.

A logical, common sense approach to resolving issues, concerns and any complaints that may arise.

Effective time management skills with the ability to multitask.

Strong attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including a clear and polite phone manner.

Confident in communicating clearly with the Operations Crew and working as part of a team and or unsupervised to achieve daily sales targets.

Be responsible for morning briefings with the entire team, presenting sales targets and operations for the day.

Confident working with checklists, requisitions plus opening and closing functions during designated shifts.

Ensuring the collection of cash and credit card payments, vouchers and daily balancing are all completed accurately and any issues are communicated with the Reception Supervisor in a timely manner.

Maximising all sales opportunities by offering upgrades, ad ons, media packages, memberships and merchandise, as well as up-selling food and beverage offerings on site, information on upcoming events and or promotions.

Ensure all guests booked for activities complete all required paperwork accurately, any medical conditions are communicated with the Operations crew in a timely manner.

Adhere to all Safety & Compliance procedures and WHS standards. Reporting any and all incidents to Management immediately and rectifying hazards where possible.

Support the Sales & Marketing team with promotions and special events, helping to develop sales strategies with Management to promote Skypark Cairns.

Skypark Cairns is a 7-day operation and the position is Part-Time 20-30 hours, but for the right candidate a full time role will be considered. The candidate must have full availability and flexibility, this includes weekends and public holidays.

The successful candidate can expect attractive EBA rates and be paid a salary above the award!
