Located just off the beach in Manly, The Herring Room is a family-owned restaurant run by veterans of the industry that prides itself on good old-fashioned hospitality. This restaurant offers creative dishes inspired by international flavours, created by a valued, reputable Head Chef. If you want to be inspired, learn & grow this role is for you.

We are currently looking for a motivated Sous Chef and a Chef de Partie to join a reputable, respected team.

Position one: Sous Chef $75000 - $80000

Position two: Chef de Partie $73000 - $77000

Responsibilities includes maintaining quality goals, ensuring efficient restaurant operations, as well as maintaining high quality customer service standards.

Responsibilities:

· Chef duties

· Aid the team to provide an exceptional guest experience

· Maintain a positive working environment

· Assist on themed evenings including produce & wine supplier degustation evenings & food festivals.

· Review & manage stock levels & maintain adequate supplies & be aware of minimising waste

· Uphold OH&S requirements

Requirements:

· At least 1 year post qualification relevant working experience

· Present a constant calm & open manner

· Extensive food & beverage knowledge

· Strong motivational & people skills
