Job Duties

Developing menus, calculating food and labor costs, and procuring food supplies.

Overseeing the quality of dishes throughout preparation and presentation.

Collaborating with Managers, Dietitians, and kitchen and serving staff on food preparation matters.

Showing techniques and guiding cooking methods.

Preparing and cooking meals.

Ensuring and enforcing compliance with hygiene standards.

May be involved in hiring and training staff.

May also handle freezing and preserving foods.

Coordinates and manages the preparation and cooking of food in a restaurant or catering facility.

To be successful in this position

Relevant qualifications in hospitality and cookery.

At least 1 - 2 years of experience as a Chef or in a similar role.

Proficiency in various cooking techniques and familiarity with a broad range of ingredients and cuisines.

Ability to develop and execute menus, considering dietary restrictions and customer preferences.

Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring compliance at all times.
