Are you passionate about creating nutritious and delicious meals for children? Busy Bees at Oxley is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Chef to join our team and contribute to the wellbeing of our children through healthy meal preparation in a caring early learning environment.

About the Role:

As our Centre Chef, you’ll be responsible for planning and preparing fresh, seasonal meals and snacks for children aged 0–5 years. You’ll also ensure compliance with all food safety standards and support children’s individual dietary needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve daily meals and snacks for all age groups

Plan weekly menus in line with nutritional guidelines

Maintain kitchen hygiene and ensure compliance with Food Safety and Allergy Management Plans

Collaborate with educators to support children with dietary needs and allergies

Maintain accurate records of food safety, supply ordering, and inventory

Engage positively with children during mealtimes

What You’ll Bring:

Experience working in a childcare environment (preferred)

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (desirable)

Sound knowledge of safe food handling and allergy management

Organisational skills and the ability to work independently

A positive and inclusive attitude

Mandatory Requirements:

Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) – ACT

Food Safety Certificate

First Aid (preferred)

Australian work rights
