About the role

This is a casual Bookkeeper role with Alison & Associates - Accountants' based in Maryborough, Queensland. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the wider accounting team to deliver high-quality services to our clients.

What you'll be doing

Handling day-to-day bookkeeping tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and managing payroll

Preparing and processing financial documents including invoices, receipts and expense reports

Maintaining and updating financial records and databases

Providing administrative support to the accounting team as needed

Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, legislation and internal policies

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role, ideally within a small practice or professional services environment

Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, practices and procedures

Proficient in the use of accounting software such as MYOB or Xero

Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong organisational and time management skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills
