About the role

We're seeking a experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team at Plant Safety Audits' on a contract basis. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the accounting functions of our business. You'll work closely with our finance team and report to the General Manager, ensuring our books are kept in impeccable order. Our office is based in Upper Coomera, QLD, this position is home based.

What you'll be doing

Perform a full range of bookkeeping duties including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations

Maintain and manage general ledger, prepare financial statements, and report on financial performance

Process invoices, bill payments, and other accounting transactions in a timely and accurate manner

Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and other financial analyses

Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies

Provide support and guidance to other members of the finance team as needed

What we're looking for

Minimum 3-5 years of demonstrated bookkeeping experience, ideally within a similar sized organisation

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures

Proficient in the use of Xero software.

Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in your work

Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise and multitask

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with finance and non-finance stakeholders

Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field is highly desirable
