people2people is proud to partner with a well-established Australian organisation within the health services sector. Experiencing strong growth, the organisation is now seeking a talented Financial Accountant to support its continued expansion and development.

About the Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a hands-on and varied position that offers broad exposure across the business. You’ll work closely with key stakeholders to manage the organisation’s financial accounting and reporting functions.
Key responsibilities include:

• Month-end and year-end reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of financial and management reports

• Management of the fixed asset register and accurate recording of work in progress

• Collaborating effectively across all levels of the business and with external stakeholders to drive performance, problem-solving, and results

• Contributing to a positive, high-performing team culture focused on innovation, learning, and engagement

• Assisting with ad hoc tasks and projects as required by the Financial Controller

About You
You are a qualified accountant (CA/CPA or working towards) with a strong technical grounding and a proactive, hands-on approach. You enjoy variety in your work and thrive in a dynamic environment where you can partner closely with both finance and operations, supporting the business getting ready for their new contracts to ramp up in the new year.

100% office based and engaging with stakeholders across finance and operations, you will bring:

• Solid understanding of financial reporting requirements

• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail

• A proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
