About Us:
JTC Technology is an IT support business based in the Hills District. Servicing the educational sector across Sydney and the Central Coast.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts and Administration Officer to join our team and take ownership of our financial processes and payroll while also providing administration support as part of our office team.
The hours for this role are adaptable to suit the right candidate e.g School hours or semi-flexible days. This part time role has the potential to optionally expand into a full-time role.
Accounts training can be provided if required for the selected candidate, as the current accounts officer is moving internally into a different role and will be available to provide support.
Role Responsibilities:
Accounts:
As our accounts officer, this role is essential in supporting our business operations.
Working closely with management and administration staff, this role will be responsible for a range of accounting tasks including:
Payroll
Invoicing
Processing transactions and completing bank reconciliation
Credit control of overdue accounts
Regular preparation and lodgment for BAS / Payroll Tax / Super
End-of-month/year payroll procedures and lodgments
Company tax return preparations, to submit to our external accountant
Insurance renewals
Placing orders and interactions with suppliers
Administration Support:
Provide support in day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure smooth office operations. This may include assisting with scheduling, HR and customer service tasks
Manage office supplies and equipment
Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements
Serve as a point of contact for customer enquiries
The successful applicant will ideally have:
Existing MYOB or accounting software skills and experience
Excellent communication skills & customer service
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
Confident and comfortable with technology including Office
A willingness to learn and flexibility to adapt to change
Dedicated work ethic, valuing hard work - diligent, reliable, and trustworthy
Ability to build positive working relationships
Prior Bookkeeping or Accounts experience is not required but would be advantageous.
Benefits of the role include:
25 - 30 hours per week negotiable
Flexible days – for example spread hours over 4 to 5 days per week
Flexible work hours – school hours or business hours, or a combination
