About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join our dedicated team at Byron Bay Preschool. This part-time position is located in Byron Bay, NSW 2481 and will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our thriving organisation.

What you'll be doing

Processing accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions in a timely and accurate manner

Reconciling bank statements and monitoring cash flow

Preparing financial reports and assisting with month-end and year-end accounting tasks

Providing administrative support to the leadership team

Liaising with suppliers, parents and other stakeholders as needed

Ensuring compliance with ACNC and regulations

What we're looking for

Relevant experience as an Accounts Officer or Accounts Clerk, preferably in an education or not-for-profit setting

Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills

Proficiency in using the accounting software, Xero

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles and best practices
