Salary: Level 3 | $32.29 to $34.50/hour (depending on experience and qualifications) + superannuation and benefits

We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Patient Accounts Officer to join our Finance team. In this role, you’ll support our patients and hospital operations through timely, accurate, and empathetic billing and account management.

Make a Difference Every Day

Generate and manage patient invoices with precision and compassion

Collaborate with clinical teams to reconcile services and ensure billing accuracy

Manage health fund claims, including processing rejections and appeals

Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients on account enquiries

Uphold privacy laws, compliance, and funding regulations

Maintain accurate, confidential billing records in line with best practice

What Makes a Difference for Us

Experience in hospital billing or accounts administration

Understanding of Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, and private health insurance processes

Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail

Communicates with professionalism and empathy

Familiar with hospital billing systems (desirable)
