About the role:

If successful, you will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the 'Strong Voices for Action – Engaging Men in Primary Prevention' Project to ensure that AMES Australia effectively implements the activity work plan of this
Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) funded project.

To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:

  • Minimum of Diploma qualification in Project Management, Community Development or other related fields
  • At least 3 years’ experience in the development and management of community development projects
  • Some experience:
    - working in the PVAW, family violence, community sector and / or working with CALD Communities; and
    - working with senior stakeholders across sectors
  • Conceptual understanding of issues associated with family violence in CALD communities
  • Understanding of issues associated with family violence in CALD communities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to mentor / coach, motivate, advocate and negotiate
  • Good stakeholder management skills, including the ability to gain commitment and support
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to deliver project on time and in budget
  • Ability to synthesise complex information and data to inform documentation or activities and outcomes
  • Strong written skills to meet the needs of a range of audiences
  • Capacity to work with independence whilst retaining accountability for work undertaken
  • Ability to speak a language other than English will be well regarded
