About the Role
Are you an experienced Project Manager with a passion for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects that benefit the community? Shoalhaven Water is seeking a skilled and motivated professional to lead the planning and delivery of water capital works projects across the region.

As the Project Manager - Operations, you will be responsible for the coordination, control, and completion of water capital projects from inception to commissioning. This includes managing project design, procurement, construction, and contract administration, while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, Council policies, and WHS standards.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage water capital works projects within Shoalhaven Water's Operations Department.
  • Coordinate and undertake investigations, detailed designs, drafting and estimates of projects to assist in satisfactory completion of the capital works program.
  • Actively engage in PPM project and process reviews and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure projects produce the required products within the specified tolerances of time, cost, scope, benefits, and risk.
  • Establish, maintain, and update project plans and compile progress reports.
  • Preparation of tender documents, designs and specifications and assist in the tendering and tender assessment processes.
  • Undertake project and contract management including contract administration to ensure compliance with specification and contract conditions. This includes inspections/audits, appropriate approvals are obtained, WAE drawing etc., are completed.

The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.

About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:

  • Degree qualifications in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or equivalent qualification and/or experience.
  • Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)
  • Class C Driver's Licence
  • Current General Construction Induction card (WhiteCard), SafeWork NSW.
  • Demonstrated experience in all facets of Project Management.
  • Demonstrated experience in all facets of Contract Management and Contract Administration.
