Our client is a leading engineering contractor who has been specialising in a range of ground engineering solutions including ground anchoring, slope stabilisation, shotcrete, architectural shotcrete, foundation piling, specialist civils contracting and ground improvement work.

Our client has an exciting permanent opportunity for an experienced Estimator with Ground Engineering and Stabilisation experience to join their team. The successful candidate will have experience in estimating scopes including - Ground Anchoring (Soil nailing & Rock bolting), Ground Improvement, Shotcrete, and Foundation piling.

The Role

You'll be reporting into the QLD State Manager and will be working across some of Australia's most well-known Government Funded Infrastructure projects.

The tasks associated with this role include;

• Develop and prepare accurate detailed cost estimates, including materials, Labour, equipment, and overheads
• Prepare and review Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and quantity take-off as required.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to fully understand tender requirements and identify project-specific complexities.
• Respond to enquiries, chasing leads, visiting sites, and attending pre-tender meetings
• Reviewing and understanding the relevant project information, documents, and drawings
• Completing and submitting required documentation
• Completion of tender, bid management and follow up on bid to gain feedback
• Once awarded project, putting together project budget
• Providing a detailed hand over to PM
• Provide technical support

What are we looking for?

• Degree qualified in Engineering or a related field
• Experience as an Estimator working on similar scopes in Australia (Not outside of Australia) - Ground Anchoring (Soil nailing & Rock bolting), Ground Improvement, Shotcrete, and Foundation piling.
• Well versed in Australia experience.
• Desired experience and knowledge on main roads specifications and codes (MRTS Specifications).
• Competent to produce and submit tenders as well as manage any variations
• Strong Design & Estimation skills
• Be able to work to strict deadlines
• Excellent communication skills - with internal and external people
