About the role
Salus Risk Consulting Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and organised Bookkeeper and Office Administrator to join our team in our Melbourne office. This part-time role will involve handling the company's financial records, administrative tasks, and supporting the broader operations of our small but growing risk consulting firm.
What you'll be doing
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements
Training will be provided on our accounting software systems to ensure proficiency in financial record management
Providing general office administration support, such as handling correspondence, filing, and scheduling
Assisting with the coordination of client projects and internal operations
Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and taxation requirements
Providing administrative support to the consultant team as needed
What we're looking for
Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping and office administration, preferably within a professional services or consulting environment
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in using accounting software such as QBO, Xero or MYOB
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the broader team
A professional, customer-focused approach and a keen eye for detail
