About the Role
We are currently seeking a driven individual to fill the dual role of administration officer and bookkeeper in our growing practice. The role will have the successful applicant joining our bookkeeping team to perform general bookkeeping tasks including:
- Preparation of accounts receivable invoices
- Receipting accounts receivable payments
- Entering and reconciling accounts payable invoices
- Debt collection
- Processing payroll
- Processing superannuation
- Assist in preparation of BAS & IAS
- Assisting clients with bookkeeping related queries
The role will also have the successful applicant joining our administration team and performing general receptionist and admin duties including:
- Answering and screening calls
- Reviewing, actioning and/or redirecting practice emails
- Preparing jobs and invoicing clients using practice management software
- Greeting clients
- Scanning and copying documents and files
- Filing
- Liasing with the ATO, ASIC and other government bodies
- Setting up ATO payment plans for clients
- Using in-house software to prepare ASIC documents
- Assisting and supporting the accountants with general practice admin duties
- Assisting serviced clients with admin tasks as required
About you
The successful applicant must possess the following:
- Cheerful character
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Attention to detail
- Helpful attitude with a desire to assist clients to achieve the best possible outcome
- At least 2 years of previous bookkeeping experience
- Experience using xero preferred but not essential
- Ability to learn and use multiple accounting software packages
The role is a full time position and we are happy to negotiate salary depending on the applicant's experience.
