About the Company
ECA Transport Engineers is a Melbourne-based engineering consultancy specialising in solving complex transport and vehicle engineering problems. We provide expert mechanical and structural engineering services, compliance assessments, and vehicle certification for the heavy vehicle and transport industries.
We’re a growing business looking for a motivated Bookkeeper / Office Administrator / Social Media Assistant to join our team. This is a varied role combining bookkeeping, administration, and marketing support — ideal for someone who enjoys a diverse workday and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly.
About the Role
You’ll work directly with management for 3 days per week to handle bookkeeping and financial tasks, maintain office operations, and manage our digital presence.
Key responsibilities include:
Accounts payable and receivable
Bank and credit card reconciliations
Preparing invoices and maintaining financial records
Assisting with BAS preparation and liaising with accountants
Managing business social media accounts (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram)
Creating and scheduling engaging content and monitoring analytics
Updating and maintaining website content
Coordinating appointments, site bookings, and correspondence
Managing digital filing and document control using Microsoft 365 / OneDrive
About You
We’re looking for someone who is professional, organised, and confident multitasking across bookkeeping, admin, and marketing.
You’ll have:
Experience in bookkeeping (preferably using Xero)
Sound understanding of Microsoft 365 and cloud storage systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Experience managing social media platforms for a business
A proactive and hands-on attitude with the ability to work independently
