As we continue to grow, we are looking for a qualified and experienced Chef to join our team and contribute to our vibrant kitchen.

Position Details

Position: Chef
Employment Type: Full-time, ongoing
Salary: $77,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation and other benefits

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and cook a diverse range of dishes according to the café’s menu and quality standards

Develop new menu items and seasonal specials in line with customer preferences and food trends

Oversee kitchen operations to ensure smooth daily service

Supervise, train, and support kitchen and junior staff

Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with health regulations

Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and presentation consistency

Manage stock levels, order supplies, and control food costs to minimize wastage

Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery

Ensure equipment and kitchen facilities are maintained in good working condition

Contribute to maintaining a positive and professional team culture within the kitchen

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)

At least 2 years of relevant experience as a Chef

Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen management

Strong organizational and leadership skills

Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
