Join the Culinary Takeover at One of the Hunter’s Most Beautiful Estates

We’re looking for passionate chefs at all levels — from Commis and Demi Chefs through to Sous Chef and Head Chef — to join the kitchen team at Cézan Trattoria & Bar, the new food and wine destination at the heart of Krinklewood Estate, created in collaboration with the award-winning team at Fennel & Co.

This is not your average chef job. This is your chance to be part of a culinary takeover — reimagining food across an entire 150-acre biodynamic estate, including:

Cézan Trattoria & Bar — an evolving à la carte restaurant inspired by regional Italian fare with a hyper-local Krinklewood twist

40+ weddings and exclusive events each year — premium produce-driven menus across large-scale celebrations

In-room private dining for the architect-designed Dimensions X Residences

Future offerings — breakfast service, long-table vineyard lunches, seasonal pop-ups, and more

You’ll be joining as a founding member of a bold new food and beverage vision, helping shape a Hunter Valley hospitality icon from day one.

Roles Available

We’re recruiting across multiple levels:

Commis & Demi Chef – support daily operations, develop core skills, and work closely with senior chefs to deliver high-quality dishes.

Sous Chef – step into leadership, oversee service, events, and weddings, and support menu development alongside the Head Chef.

Head Chef – lead kitchen operations across all touchpoints (restaurant, weddings, private dining), build and inspire the team, and drive the creative direction of our estate-wide food vision.

What We’re Looking For

Experience in restaurants, events, or catering (level dependent)

Passion for bold flavours, seasonal produce, and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine

A team-focused mindset — calm, organised, reliable, and positive under pressure

Creativity, initiative, and a desire to grow with a new and ambitious venue

For senior roles: proven leadership, menu development skills, and large-scale event experience a major plus
