Accounts Officer (Part-Time or Full-Time Opportunity)

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Accounts Officer to help keep Byron Beef Jerky running smoothly behind the scenes. Based at our head office in Bangalow, this role manages daily accounting operations and supports the Directors with financial reporting and business insights.

What You'll Do

Perform daily reconciliations in Xero, ensuring accuracy across all transactions

Manage accounts receivable and payable, supporting smooth cash flow

Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant legislation

Prepare and review BAS and activity statements

Handle month-end and year-end reporting in collaboration with external accountants

Build and maintain spreadsheets for data tracking and forecasting

Provide financial insights and projections to support business planning

Work onsite at our Bangalow head office, supporting management and operations

What You'll Bring

Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial management

Strong proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel

CPA or CA qualifications (advantageous but not essential)

Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills

A proactive, adaptable mindset — comfortable working in a growing business

A genuine, team-focused approach
