Accounts Officer
Location: Greenacre, NSW
Rate: Up to $43 per hour + Super based on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday – Flexible start and finish times

Are you an experienced Accounts Officer looking your next long term contract role? We’re seeking a capable and detail-oriented professional to join our manufacturing client’s team in Greenacre, supporting their finance team across accounts payable and payroll processing.

The Client
Our client is a national leader in their field currently experiencing a strong growth phase. Working with some of Australia’s largest sporting venues, theatres and performing arts centres across the entertainment space, they are now seeking a hands on and detail orientated Accounts Officer to join them immediately in an ongoing contract role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing up to 75 payable invoices per week using Access Definitive
• Ensure accurate and timely payment processing
• Reconcile payroll and accounts payable records
• Generate, validate, and distribute invoices for customers across multiple countries.
• Weekly payroll preparation using Micropay for 70 staff
• Assist with with preparation of superannuation, tax, and entitlements
• Assist with rostering, timesheets, leave, back pay, and termination payments
• Assist with the interpretation of Industry Awards and related compliance obligations
• Build procedure documents relating to the payroll system with the Finance Manager
• Prepare supporting documentation for invoices to ensure accuracy and transparency.
• Reconcile business expenses and maintain complete documentation.
• Assist with month-end closing, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting on accounts payable balances.

About You:

• Proven Accounts Payable experience working in a full function position
• Experience supporting payroll processing
• Experience working with Micropay or Project Stream advantageous
• Intermediate Excel skills with a high attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Outstanding communication skills on both a verbal and written level

The Position:

• Up to $43.00 per hour + superannuation based on experience
• Ongoing contract position requiring an immediate start
• Flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle (e.g. 7am–3pm, 9am–3pm, 10am–4pm, or 8am–5pm)
