Your duties include:

Budgeting & Forecasting

Partnering with project managers to ensure accurate cost tracking and financial planning.

Preparing an annual budget

Provide updated cashflow forecasting on a regular basis.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

Preparing monthly management reports with variance analysis.

Lead and develop the finance team.

Prepare monthly management and project reports, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, WIP, and project-specific reporting.

Develop KPI reporting, analyse variances, and provide actionable financial insights to senior leadership.

Project Reviews

Conducting financial reviews of construction projects to assess profitability and performance.

Tax Compliance

Managing BAS, PAYG, payroll tax and other statutory obligations.

Supporting year-end tax planning and liaising with external tax advisors.

About You

We’re looking for a confident and capable finance professional who brings both technical expertise and a collaborative mindset. Ideally, you will have:

Qualifications & Experience

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

CPA or CA qualification (or working towards)

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within construction or project-based industries

Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

Proficiency in Xero or other accounting software and Excel; experience with Quantify or similar systems is a plus
