One For the Road is a family owned hospitality group that operates four large venues including, South Beach Hotel, Federal Boutique Hotel, 8 Knots Tavern and Bicton Tavern. The family friendly and food orientated venues are located within the greater Fremantle area offering a quality customer experience in comfort and style.

We are a growing multi-venue hospitality group with a turnover of approximately $30 million, seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of our finance function and to support the next phase of growth.

This is a hands-on senior role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment, understands hospitality margins, and can bring discipline, structure, and insight to group reporting.

While this is a full-time role, experienced candidates may be considered for part-time options.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate monthly management P&L, balance sheet, cashflow forecasting and consolidated reporting

• Lead budgeting and performance tracking against KPIs

• Strengthen controls across payroll, inventory, purchasing and venue-level spending

• Establish department budgets

• Mentor and support the existing finance and accounts team

• Manage the current profit share plan

• Proactively manage and optimise the Group’s tax responsibilities

• Ensure effective management of all supplier agreements, debtors and third-party service providers across the Group

About You

You will be a commercially minded finance professional who can balance accuracy with practicality and work collaboratively with the leadership team.

You will have:

• CA/CPA or equivalent

• Prior experience in hospitality, retail, fast moving consumer goods or multi-site operations

• Strong understanding of cashflow and cost control

• Experience leading small finance teams and improving systems

• Excellent communication skills with a solutions-focused approach
