2IC – Power Medical Centre

Power Medical Centre is seeking an experienced and motivated Second-in-Charge (2IC) to join our dynamic team on a full-time or part-time basis.

As the 2IC, you’ll work closely with the Practice Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic, providing leadership and support to the team while maintaining a positive, patient-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the practice to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care

Provide support to the administration team, including covering reception when needed

Maintain and improve systems and processes to enhance service delivery and clinical excellence

Support the Practice Manager with people and culture initiatives — including rostering, onboarding, and ongoing staff training and development

Foster a professional, service-oriented and positive workplace culture

Undertake financial management duties such as receipting, petty cash reconciliation, and reporting

Essential Criteria

Proven ability to lead and engage a multidisciplinary team while maintaining strong professional relationships

A positive, professional attitude and genuine commitment to patient care

Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform under pressure

Outstanding interpersonal communication and customer service skills

Strong computer literacy and IT skills, with experience in clinical and scheduling software

Highly Regarded

Experience using Best Practice software

Previous management experience in a General Practice or specialist medical setting
