Job Summary:

Cook – Ruby Red Pizza Pty Ltd (Tony Tomatoes)

Full-time permanent position

The Cook will be a part of a tight-knit team and will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes according to the a la carte menu. The incumbent works closely with the Restaurant Managers, Chefs and kitchen team to ensure efficient food production while maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, including planning kitchen operations

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.

Assist in food preparation, including for in-house functions, ensuring timely and high-quality service.

Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and food storage areas.

Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are always followed.

Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Chef or kitchen supervisor.

Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Follow portion control guidelines to minimise food waste.

Delegating work to apprentices or junior staff

Skills & Qualifications:

Formal qualifications as a Cook or a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Cook.

A minimum of 12 months of work experience is required

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously.

Strong attention to detail and presentation.

Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work unsupervised

Ability to manage staff and provide training and support

Knowledge of Italian cuisine
