About the role:
We're seeking an organised and proactive Governance Officer to join our Office of the CEO team. In this pivotal role, you'll provide high-level administrative and governance support to ensure the smooth and effective operation of our Board and Executive leadership functions.
As a Governance Officer, you will:
- Coordinate and distribute Board and committee agendas, papers, and meeting materials.
 - Record accurate and timely minutes, and maintain action registers.
 - Support the delivery of strategic advice, governance processes, and high-quality documentation.
 - Manage member and stakeholder engagement with professionalism and discretion.
 - Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost integrity.
 - Provide administrative assistance across the Office of the CEO and Board Secretariat as required.
 
We're looking for someone with:
- Demonstrable experience in a governance position, preferably within a government context
 - Proven ability to prepare clear written communications, including work plans, reports, and stakeholder briefings
 - A collaborative approach with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across diverse teams
 - Demonstrated ability to manage workloads and performance and allocate resources effectively

About Us:
The Office of the CEO provides strategic advice, administrative and governance support to the CEO and Board. The office collaborates with the executives across the organisation, leading and supporting the delivery of Parks Victoria's strategic objectives, legislative requirements and government priorities, and manages the organisations' authorising environment, building and strengthening relationships with ministerial offices across all levels of government and with external stakeholders.
The office also ensures the timely preparation of high-quality briefings, correspondence and reports for senior decision makers, and provides high quality secretariat support to the Board (and its subcommittees) and to operational governance committees.
