The Senior Payroll Officer is responsible for supporting people administration and operational payroll services for all employees of the Building and Plumbing Commission. The position supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) including end to end payroll processing in accordance with policies, procedures, agreements and associated legislation.

What we are looking for

• Extensive experience in processing end to end payrolls including Month End and EOFY processing and significant experience and knowledge of Chris21 and/or iChris system and with Enterprise Agreement interpretation.
• Sound knowledge of Australian Payroll Legislation and a thorough understanding of the Australian Privacy Principles and best practice data protection.
• Demonstrated experience in using a wide range of software application features for word processing, spreadsheets (especially Excel and proficient in the creation and use of pivot tables), etc; assists others with problem-solving in the use of such software.

About the BPC

The Building & Plumbing Commission (BPC) is Victoria's new regulator for building and plumbing.

It brings together the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV), and the domestic building insurance function of the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) into one organisation.

Key functions related to building and plumbing regulation will come together under one roof, including registration, inspection and compliance, practitioner discipline, dispute resolution, and domestic building insurance. These services will now part of the BPC and will be fully integrated over the next 12 months.
